It is what you have all been waiting for, the new Micro Drone 2.0 Quadrocopter has finally arrived and is up on our online store now, check it out! It will available for purchase over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled. Make sure you are the first to have one! With Christmas just around the corner, (I know it is a little while yet, but we all know how quickly time flies, and it'll be upon us before we know it!) this is an ideal gift to give this year. With all the newly added features and additions, this is going to be a popular request from Santa by many.
Since there have been other blog posts on this new product, I have decided to provide you with 5 ways to use the new Micro Drone to your advantage!
- Use your Quadrocopter to spy. Once the camera becomes available for the Micro Drone you can use your Quadro Copter to spy on people! Since you can fly continuously for 8 minutes, this gives you plenty of opportunity to bring out your inner detective!
- Create a series of tricks for a display! Since the Quadrocoper is even better than the last, use its new features to your advantage. With even better control and stability you'll be a pro in no time, after a little bit of practice performing tricks with your Quadrocopter.
- Have a race with fellow Quadrocopter owners. With the new increase in speed, who could resist showing off their remote control skills by having a race against a friend. You could even create an obstacle course to make things more challenging! No need to worry about damaging your Quadrocopter, because it is built with such a tough structure, it can withstand turbulence and the harshest landings!
- Take your Quadrocopter to work. Use it to spy on other collegues at work and keep tabs on how much work they are really doing!
- Disturb someone's nap time. Annoyed at a sibling or family member because they keep on waking you up early in the morning? Wait until they are having a nap and get your revenge. Use your Quadrocopter to hover above their head and gently fly into them so they stir from their sleep. Every time they do wake up, quickly move Quadrocopter out of sight so they think they are dreaming. Perfect plan of revenge!
As mentioned in a previous blog post, one of the new features to the Quadrocopter this year, is the ability to support a camera for photographic and videography use. However, the camera is sold separetly from the Quadrocopter and won't be available until the next couple of weeks. Plenty of time before christmas to put together this awesome present for someone! Whether you are buying this for yourself, or as a present for someone else - they will love it.
Who remembers the Micro Drone? It was a big seller here on Gadget Inspector last year, and so it gives us great pleasure to announce the imminent arrival of Micro Drone 2.0. This new and improved version of our favourite quadrocopter is set to go down a storm this autumn, and while we're reluctant to start thinking about Christmas presents this soon (heck, we haven't even had Halloween yet), we're pretty sure that anyone would be pleased to find a Micro Drone under the tree come December the 25th.
So what does this model do that the old quadrocopter didn't? Allow us to answer that question with bullet points:
- HD Video Camera - The new Micro Drone is capable of filming its flights with a high definition, 720p camera. Record video footage, take photos, and save it all to the drone's micro SD card.
- Unprecedented Stability - So you thought the old quadrocopter was a stable flier? Boy, you ain't seen nothing yet. Not only does this new version come with even smoother handling, it's got a clever little algorithm built into it so that it can recover after being thrown into the air.
- Stronger Structure - And if you do somehow manage to crash your quadrocopter, don't panic. The robust metal construction is design to withstand all manner of turbulence and poor landings. Everything bolts together to form one spectacularly sturdy whole.
- Super Speed - The new Micro Drone's motor goes at 29,000rpm, a mind-bogglingly high figure. If you can keep up with that speed, you'll get a seriously thrilling flight out of it.
The new Micro Drone quadrocopter will be arriving here at Gadget Inspector next week. We're excited, and we're sure you are too. We'll let you know when the drones arrive, but in the meantime, have another read of our 10 Things to Do with a Micro Drone blog and remind yourself of how to use one. Stay tuned!
You can never have too many gadgets, and that's why we're always adding new items to our collection! There's always something new to discover, and whether it's a cool new RC toy or just something interesting to decorate your home with, the Gadget Inspector site is the perfect place to discover it! After all, we're just as gadget-geeky as our customers!
So here are three new arrivals that we thought we'd bring to your attention:
- The Take a Break Mug is pleasantly chunky and bold of colour. It'll make a great home for your hot drinks, and it goes rather well with our
Take a Break Tin [no longer available] and the Take a Break Coasters. Talk about your perfect sets - these three items are ideal for those emergency tea and biscuit breaks!
- If you enjoyed crashing your Micro Drone Quadrocopter into the wall over and over again, you're bound to be equally besotted with the
Bladez Remote Control Quadrocopter [no longer available]. This compact wee 'copter is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and beginners and masters alike will find plenty to love in this brilliant bit of remote control kit. It can do all kinds of cool stunts, and the 2.4GHz frequency means that ten people can fly their quadrocopters at once! Oh, and it's currently on special offer - we're letting it go for a full £28 less than the RRP!
- Finally, we come to the Katana Bookends, and these might be our new favourite product. You might be surprised to hear that us hard-working gadgeteers have time for any leisurely literary exploits, but the truth is that we love reading...and we love it even more when our books look like they've been skewered on a samurai sword! The magnetic design means that you can conceal the actual bookends inside the cover of your books, leaving either end of the 'sword' as the only exposed parts. It's an astoundingly realistic look, and if you've been searching for a way to make your library even more awesome, your search ends here!
Not keen on that haul? Don't worry - we're always adding new products to the Gadget Inspector site, so keep checking back on a regular basis. Who knows what we'll stumble upon next?
We've always had a soft spot for RC helicopters here at Gadget Inspector, and the latest addition to our flying squad is one of the best we've seen. The brand new iConheli is a remote control chopper with a difference - instead of an RC handset, you control it with your iPhone or iPad!
This is one ultra-modern RC helicopter. The iConheli uses Bluetooth to sync up with your mobile device, allowing for a flying range of up to 30 metres! It's pretty easy to fly, too - if you know how to use your iPhone, you've already halfway to mastering the iConheli. With a bit of practice, you'll be hovering, landing, and buzzing around like a pro.
A remote control chopper makes a fantastic gift for the gadget geek in your life, so if you know someone with an iPad or iPhone, this iPhone RC Helicopter could be the perfect present idea for their next birthday. It's sturdy, it's got a stylish black design, and it speeds through the air like nobody's business - what more could you want from a remote control chopper, eh?
If you're lucky enough to live in the wonderful city of Cardiff, there's a chance you'll have seen this festively-attired chap peddling around the bay last week:

The Ammaco Penny Farthing is a fantastically fun bike that's sure to make you stand out from the crowd. You probably won't stand out as much as the guy wearing the elf costume, but in any other crowd, all eyes will be on your and your fab penny farthing bike.
The penny farthing is just as safe, sturdy and stable as any modern bicycle, but the big wheel/little wheel combo gives it a quirky edge that's guaranteed to have all other cyclists green with envy. Get yours today!
