Let's hear it for slobs, everbody! We all know one, and if you somehow don't have a lazy-yet-lovable oaf in your life, then frankly, you're missing out. If nothing else, having a slobby friend serves to make you feel much better about yourself.
Now, as we may already have mentioned a couple of times, Christmas is just around the corner - this means that you need gifts for all the people you hold dear, and your favourite slob is no exception. Here are 3 great gift ideas that are sure to put a smile on the face of whichever slob you're buying for:

Bladez Transporter - RC Helicopter
If there's one thing that slobs really hate, it's getting up. Whether they're lying in bed or sat on the sofa, slobs despise anything that forces them to, y'know, move.

That's why the Bladez Transporter is such an awesome slob gift. It has a little winch attached to it, which means that your slob can pilot the helicopter across the room, pick up whatever it is they need*, and fly it back across the room without even getting up. Perfect!

*As long as the item in question weighs 10g or less and has something that the winch can latch onto.

Slobs crave comfort above all else, and now that winter is on its way, your #1 slob is going to find it more and more difficult to get snug 'n' cosy. Why not lend a hand by giving them one of our festive onesies? One reviewer called her onesie "the comfiest thing I own" - that's a recommendation if ever we heard one!

Bonus slob points if your slob can go the entire holiday season without taking the onesie off.

Clocky - The Running & Jumping Alarm Clock
Even the world's leading slobs have to get out of bed occasionally. At this time of year, though, leaving the bed is easier said than done - the duvet is so warm, and everything else is so cold...

That's where Clocky comes in. He's the alarm clock that won't take 'no' for an answer, and if you dare to press 'Snooze', he'll go utterly bananas, running away from you and beeping madly until you have no choice but to jump out of bed and chase him around the room. An extreme measure, perhaps, but depending on just how slobby your friend is, it may be the only measure that works!
We've got loads of great Batman gifts for you to choose from!

Bat logo

Batman has been through almost as many regenerations as Doctor Who. Between Adam West's campy performances in the '60s TV series and Christian Bale's throat-ruining turn in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, we've almost lost track of all the actors who have played The Caped Crusader - it's arguably one of the biggest roles in cinema.

Now, everybody has their own favourite Bat, but whether you prefer Michael Keaton's intensity or George Clooney's bat-nipples, we're pretty confident that you'll love our vast collection of Batman goodies. We've got all sorts of essential items for avid Batfans, and with Christmas just around the corner, we thought that now would be a good time to show them off.

Secret Santa ideas

If you work in an office, there's a strong chance that you'll be somebody's Secret Santa this Christmas. You know the drill: you pull a name out of a hat, and then you have to buy that person a present within the given budget.

This is great fun (after all, you get a gift out of it as well) but it can be a big source of stress, especially if you don't know your co-workers all that well. It's easy to shop for your partner/children/parents because you're (hopefully) familiar with their hobbies and interests, but unless you're actually friends with the other people in your office, you may well find yourself completely stumped when it comes to Secret Santa.

Luckily for you, the Gadget Inspector gang are on hand to give you a little bit of inspiration. Even if you know next to nothing about your co-workers, we're sure to have a whole bunch of Secret Santa presents that will pull you through. Check these out...

TIE Fighter Model

It won't surprise you in the slightest to learn that we are all massive Star Wars nerds here at Gadget Inspector. Our site has always been well-stocked with Star Wars stuff, but our latest addition to this ever-growing pile might just be one of the coolest yet.

We speak of none other than our awesome Star Wars 3D Model Kits! There are four different models available (R2-D2, the Millennium Falcon, a TIE Fighter and an AT-AT Walker), but regardless of which one you choose, you can be sure of a very rewarding model-making challenge and a cool Star Wars figurine when you're finished!

Now, we're not the most experienced of model-makers here at GI HQ, but we tried our hand at the TIE Fighter and, actually, it wasn't all that difficult. All you have to do is press out the pieces and connect 'em up - you might need a pair of tweezers for the little bits, but otherwise, it's pretty straightforward stuff!

Wooden triceratops
It's been more than a decade since Jurassic Park came out, but the way we see it, dinosaurs are due to come back in style very soon. After all, Jurassic World is out soon, and so it won't be long before a whole new generation decides that, hey, perhaps archaeology is a pretty cool career choice.

If you want to get the jump on the imminent rush of dino-fever, now is the time to do it. We've got a bunch of great build-a-dinosaur kits here at Gadget Inspector, and today, we're going to show you how we built our very own triceratops...

Dinosaur Construction kit

Here's what you get in your dinosaur kit - the first thing to do is press out all the pieces!

Building a triceratops

Start with the long spine/tail piece. This is what you'll be slotting all the other pieces into.

Triceratops step 2

Slot the shoulders and hips into the spine, then add the four legs.

Triceratops step 3

Now for the ribs! You should have 5 wishbone-shaped pieces; slot these on top of the spine.

Triceratops step 4

Finally, give Topsy a head so that she can see. Congratulations - you have just built a dinosaur!
