Red and Blue Christmas Onesies

Hi everyone. We'd like to say Happy New Year, but frankly, we're not feeling all that happy here at Gadget Inspector right now. Christmas is over for another year, the decorations have been taken down, and it seems like we've had all the presents we're going to get.

Yes sir, the post-Christmas blues have well and truly settled in. Some people will tell you that it's time to move on, to face the new year with a smile and make the most of every opportunity January throws your way. We don't buy it, to be honest.

If you ask us, the best cure for PCSS (Post-Christmas Stress Syndrome) is denial. Put on your Christmas onesie, grab your Love Actually DVD, and pretend it's still December and Santa is still in the process of double-checking his list.

Does that sound pathetic? A little bit, but can you blame us? The Christmas comedown is difficult to deal with, and the fact that it comes in January - a long, wet, mouldy loofah of a month - makes it even more depressing. Of course, even if you don't miss Christmas that much (heck, some people are probably glad to see the back of the busy festive period), our Christmas onesies are still every bit as cosy and stylish as they were two weeks ago. Onesies are wonderful no matter what time of year it is - click here for our full collection.

An assortment of Batman gifts

When you think of Christmas, who's the first person who springs to mind? Santa Claus? Frosty the Snowman? Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, perhaps?

All fair answers, but actually, we were thinking of Batman. His costume might not be as Christmassy as Santa's, but his song is far catchier than Frosty's or Rudolph's. Listen, and tell us we're wrong:

Okay, so Bruce Wayne isn't exactly Father Christmas, but if you've got a Dark Knight fan in the family, our generous collection of Batman gifts will give them plenty to celebrate on Christmas morning. Here are some of our favourites:

  • Batman Alarm Clock  - Crimefighters can't afford to sleep late!
  • Batman Bowl - Bored of breakfast? Try eating your cereal out of this awesome Dark Knight bowl!
  • Batman Mug - For that hard-earned cuppa at the end of another long day in Gotham.
  • Batman Wallet - Comes in a sleek presentation tin. The perfect gift for classy Batman fans.
  • Batman Bag - Holds almost as much as Bruce Wayne's utility belt!

Need a few gifts for an avid gamer? Gadget Inspector's gamer stocking is the ideal solution!

If you've got a gamer in the family, you probably already know what they want for Christmas - an Xbox One, a Wii U, or a PS4. But even Santa Claus himself would struggle to squeeze these hefty consoles into a sock - are there any good gamer  presents that are small enough to fit in a Christmas stocking?

Well, oddly enough, there are. The Gamer Christmas Stocking from Gadget Inspector is packed with great little gifts that are sure to satisfy the square-eyed game geek in your life. Let's take a peek inside, shall we?

What's inside the Gamer Christmas Stocking?

  • It's always nice to have a drink handy when you're glued to your game, and the Pac-Man Bottle Opener is ideal for cracking open a bottle of whatever you fancy. It's also the perfect homage to Pac-Man, the undisputed king of the arcade!

  • Keep your breath fresh and remember the old days with our Nintendo Power Mints. These sweet peppermints come in a ravishingly retro tin - it's shaped like the classic NES controller!

  • Of course, consoles aren't the only way to game, and if you enjoy the occasional fix of PC gaming, you'll love the Angry Birds Star Wars PC Game. It's based on the familiar smartphone game, but this version is galaxies apart!

  • Some games have awesome soundtracks, but if you'd rather listen to your own music while you game, the Mighty Boom Ball might come in handy. Plug in your phone or MP3 player, and it will turn more or less anything into a speaker.

  • Finally, we've included a lollipop, because...well, who doesn't like a lollipop? Everyone needs something sweet on Christmas Day, gamer or otherwise!

The gamer stocking comes with all of this, and it's all packaged in a traditional red Christmas stocking. Just hang it from the fireplace and wait for Christmas to come!

The iConheli RC Helicopter

We've got quite a few RC helicopters on sale here at Gadget Inspector, but the iConheli remains the most unique of all. Unlike all of our other choppers, which are piloted using traditional RC handsets, the iConheli is controlled by your iPhone or iPad!

How does it work?
The iConheli comes with a free app that can be downloaded onto an iPhone or iPad.  This app uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with the helicopter itself, allowing you to steer it through the skies using your trusty tablet or phone!

Is it any good?
The reviews certainly seem to suggest so. Five stars across the board, with customers calling the iConheli "a great product" and "a smashing bit of kit" at a "great price". And then there's Duane from Basingstoke, who bought an RC helicopter for his son but soon decided that he wanted one of his own:

How much does it cost, then?
Well, that's the very good news. The iConheli is already down from £49.99 to £39.99, but the discounts don't end there - if you enter the discount code 25%OFF when you get to the checkout, you'll get a further £10 off, bringing the final cost to a slender £30.99!

Whether you're buying one as a Christmas present or just grabbing a treat for yourself, the iConheli is an excellent choice. It's the perfect RC helicopter for the 21st century!

Remote control inflatables

You're already familiar with our Inflatable R2 D2 - now it's time to meet the rest of the gang! We'll soon be adding a trio of terrific RC inflatables to the Gadget Inspector website, and we thought we'd introduce them before they become available next week:

  • Fans of Despicable Me will go gaga for the adorable RC Inflatable Minion Dave Toy. We know a lot of people who have wanted a minion of their own since they saw the first Despicable Me film, and this awesome inflatable finally allows you to do just that!

  • But perhaps you're more of a Pixar fan? If that's the case, you'll probably be more interested in our Remote Control Lightning McQueen [no longer available]. He's fast, he's furious, and he's sure to provide hours of enjoyment on Christmas morning!

  • The Cars universe was recently expanded with the release of Disney's Planes, which was a big hit at the box office earlier this year. In addition to Lightning McQueen, we're also adding an RC Dusty Crophopper plane to our catalogue! He's every bit as awesome as Lightning, and while he can't fly, he's still great fun to pilot.

These awesome remote control inflatables are scheduled to arrive on Monday (25/11/13). The RC Artoo was a massive hit last Christmas, and we're positive that this trio of RC toys will be just as big a hit!
